TERMS OF USE (the "Terms")

The MPLCgo Hong Kong platform is provided by Motion Picture Licensing Company (Hong Kong) Limited ("MPLC"), with registered office at Unit B11, 16/F., NCB Innovation Centre, 888 Lai Chi Kok Road, Kowloon, Hong Kong.
These general terms of use, together with MPLC's policies as issued and revised from time to time, govern your access to and use of the MPLCgo platform as a user ("User").

1 - THE SERVICE

MPLCgo (the "Service") is a platform that allows users to access movies, documentaries, and other video content in digital format ("Digital Content").
The Service enables users to view Digital Content by subscribing to a time-limited subscription ("Subscription"), which must be combined with a License for the public performance of cinematographic works issued by MPLC.

The platform may only be used for public screenings of properly licensed films and not for personal or domestic use.

To activate a subscription to the Service, a contract with MPLC must be signed, and the user must be at least 18 years old (if an individual).
Minors may use the Service only under the supervision of an adult.

2 - COMPATIBLE DEVICES AND SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

To play Digital Content, the User may use a personal computer, multimedia player, interactive whiteboard (LIM), video projector, or other compatible devices connected to the Internet and accessed via a supported web browser (Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge).

For the best experience, User is recommended using the latest version of Google Chrome.
The platform may not function properly on outdated browsers or unsupported devices.
MPLC does not guarantee compatibility with Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, or other legacy systems.

3 - TERRITORY

The platform and its services are intended exclusively for use within the territory of Hong Kong ("Territory").

4 - SUBSCRIPTION

The offers and prices of subscriptions (sometimes referred to as "subscriptions"), the availability of Digital Content, and specific titles available within the Service may change over time and depending on location, without prior notice and at the sole discretion of MPLC.
Unless otherwise specified, price changes will take effect at the start of the next subscription period.
The subscription price may or may not include VAT and/or other applicable taxes.

A User who has subscribed may cancel their subscription under the terms of the contract by contacting MPLC at info@hk.mplc.com.

5 - TRIAL SUBSCRIPTIONS

MPLC reserves the right to offer trial subscriptions for a limited time to allow users to test the Service.
Users utilizing the trial must comply with the Terms outlined in this document.

6 - PAYMENT METHODS

Payment for the subscription fee and any additional costs associated with the use of the Platform shall be regulated by a separate contract between the User and MPLC**.**

7 - STREAMING QUALITY

The resolution and quality of Digital Content playback depend on several factors, including:
✔ The type of compatible device used to access the content.
✔ The speed of the Internet connection, which may fluctuate during viewing.

If a User experiences interruptions or playback issues due to network limitations or other factors, MPLC may adjust the resolution or file size to ensure smooth streaming.
While MPLC strives to provide a high-quality viewing experience, it does not guarantee specific resolutions or video quality and does not make any warranties in this regard.

The availability of original language audio and subtitles is not guaranteed for all Digital Content or all supported devices and will depend on the individual circumstances of the Digital Content.

8 - GENERAL RESTRICTIONS

The User may not:

Transfer, copy, or display Digital Content except as permitted by these Terms.
Sell, rent, lease, distribute, or publicly transmit any rights to Digital Content.
Remove ownership or copyright information from the Digital Content.
Attempt to disable, bypass, modify, or circumvent any digital rights management (DRM) tools or content protection systems used in the Service.
Share or make Digital Content available online without proper authorization from the copyright holder. MPLC reserves the right to conduct inspections at any time to prevent such activity.
Share login credentials with unauthorized third parties. The User is responsible for any illicit use derived from such sharing and must immediately notify MPLC in case of theft, loss, or unauthorized access to their credentials.
Use the Service or Digital Content for commercial or unlawful purposes.

9 - MISCELLANEOUS

Service Modifications - MPLC reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice. MPLC shall not be liable to the User for any limitations in accessing Digital Content due to such modifications.
Contract Modifications - MPLC reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time.
To the extent permitted by law, continued use of the Service after modifications constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
However, any price increases will not take effect until the next subscription renewal.
Intellectual Property Rights - Digital Content is legally protected by copyright.
The copyright holders of the Digital Content are third-party beneficiaries under these Terms.
Electronic Communications - MPLC will send information to the User (e.g., payment authorizations, invoices, password or payment method updates, confirmations, and notifications) exclusively in electronic format, such as via email to the address provided at registration.

10 - TERMINATION

MPLC may suspend or terminate access to MPLCgo at its sole discretion if the user violates these Terms.

MPLC also reserves the right to seek full compensation for any loss or damage resulting from unauthorized use.

11 - APPLICABLE LAW AND JURISDICTION

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

Any disputes arising from the use of MPLCgo shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.
